Kocke Club Exhibition of LEGO creations, Novo mesto, November 24th 2012
Being already a common practice, we organized workshops for children between 8:00 and 10:00 where the pupils from Bršljin elementary school were creating with DUPLO and classic - system bricks under supervision of their teachers and Kocke klub members.
At 10:00 the event opened for visitors too. Their response was beyond expectation, despite the fact that most of the exhibits were already presented on the 9th KockeFest. There were dioramas of Pirates of the Caribbean, Lord of the Rings, Medieval joust, Fortified village and the Snežnik castle. For the youngest ones a DUPLO city with zoo and railway was assembled on the floor. Another exhibit was LEGO city, with the old town and mighty skyscrapers, followed by the space diorama with monorail. One of the most interesting exhibits for children was GBC (Great Ball Contraption) where the balls rolled over various mechanisms. Next to it was a Technic ‘sandpit’ with demonstration of various functions of construction machinery.
In the prominent central position of the exhibition a model of the Titanic was presented. There were also two playing tables with DUPLO bricks and, as usual, a selling area and a club corner with lottery.
The pictures below show some highlights from the event. The impressions are also featured on our forum.
