15th KockeFest – autumn 2015 took place on Saturday 17 October and Sunday 18 October 2015 in Koseze primary school, Ljubljana.
As usual, the main display of the exhibition was a big city diorama. The passenger railway station was joined by cargo terminal complete with warehouses, grain silo and bridge signal box. The residential part of the city was built of modular houses, courthouse and police and fire station. A new feature in the city was a hill with houses and a stream, while the railway was running underneath in a tunnel.
The rest of display area was filled with individual dioramas and presentations of some official sets. Individual dioramas showed Snežnik castle, a rural railway station, a section of Jurassic Park with dinosaurs, landscape from the world of Friends and Elves series, scenes from Star Wars world and a giant spaceship in a prominent position. Another novelty were smaller individual dioramas and creations that showed a scene from the online game World of Warcraft, a medieval castle and various scenes from World War II. The famous Café René from the sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo appeared among the latter, complete with all the characters from the series. Among the official sets were the house and Kwik-E-Mart store from The Simpsons series, Ferrari F40 and the new and the old Ferris wheel from Creator series, and the entire collection of sets from Scooby Doo series.
For the youngest ones a big DUPLO diorama was set, showing a forest where the animals were defending their environment from the builders that intended to turn it into construction site. The cranes were the main feature of the Technic area, with the largest one standing more than 2 meters tall. They were complemented by a collection of official and own creation vehicles. The exhibition concluded with models displaying the practical use of Mindstorms robotics where LEGO robot was solving Rubik’s cube, and a ball-transporting model GBC (Great Ball Contraption) that appeared again after two years of absence.
The visitors could test their skills in driving competition with off-road vehicles and making their own creations with 2x4 bricks and the younger ones could relax by playing with DUPLO and classic bricks and colouring LEGO colouring books. Another standard feature was the club corner with raffle where every ticket was winning a prize, and the LEGO bazaar selling bricks at bargain prices.
