14th KockeFest – spring 2015 took place on Saturday 21 March and Sunday 22 March 2015 in Koseze primary school, Ljubljana.
As usual, the main display of the exhibition was a big city diorama with railway station and trains, blocks of flats and modular houses. Two individual buildings were also presented, a large mansion in secession style and a building modelled after The Interlace residential complex in Singapore.
The rest of display area was filled with individual dioramas and presentations of some official sets. Individual dioramas showed a modular city, a large space base with space vehicles, a construction site in the city, scenes from prehistoric life of pile dwellers and a scene from World War II that even featured some characters from the famous sitcom ‘Allo ‘Allo. Among the official sets were the exclusives The Tumbler from Super Heroes series, Slave I from Star Wars series, the newest modular house Detective’s office from Creator Expert series, the entire collection of sets from new Pirates series and newer sets from The Hobbit series. A smaller diorama of recent Star Wars sets was set up, together with the prominent Death Star exclusive set, while arctic sets from City series were present on a diorama showing polar world..
For the youngest ones a big DUPLO diorama was set, showing a safari park. The collection of Technic vehicles comprised mostly of supercars, but also included a giant motorized model of Land Rover Defender and a grinding machine. The exhibition concluded with models displaying the practical use of Mindstorms robotics where LEGO robot was solving Rubik’s cube. A smart controller PowerBrick was also presented, which allows control of Power Functions components via smartphone.
The visitors could again test their skills in driving competition with off-road vehicles and the younger ones could relax by playing with DUPLO and classic bricks and colouring LEGO colouring books. Another standard feature was the club corner with raffle where every ticket was winning a prize, and the LEGO bazaar selling bricks at bargain prices. LEGO sets were also available at the sales area of Baby center toy shop. A new sponsor Klub Marindolus, presenting their activities with a diorama of a holiday camp, also made appearance at KockeFest.
